Anti-Spam Policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
1. Our commitment
Referral networking runs on trust. MyReferral.systems maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward spam and unsolicited commercial communications, whether sent through our platform or using information obtained from it. This policy applies to all members, chapter leaders, regional operators, sponsors, and visitors ("users"), and is designed to comply with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and similar laws.
2. What counts as spam
- Bulk or automated unsolicited messages sent through platform messaging;
- Adding members, visitors, or referred customers to a marketing list without their express consent;
- Harvesting or scraping contact information from directories, rosters, or referral records;
- Cold texts or robocalls to phone numbers obtained through the platform in violation of the TCPA;
- Commercial email that lacks accurate sender information, a truthful subject line, a physical postal address, or a working unsubscribe mechanism as required by CAN-SPAM;
- Misusing referral submissions to deliver advertising rather than a genuine referral.
3. Referred customer contact rules
When you receive a referral, the customer's contact information is shared for one purpose: responding to the specific need described in that referral. You must not add referred customers to newsletters, drip campaigns, or promotional lists unless they separately and clearly opt in. Contact referred customers promptly, professionally, and only about the referred need.
4. Platform messaging rules
Member-to-member messaging exists to coordinate referrals, meetings, and genuine business relationships. Do not use it to blast promotions, chain messages, or solicitations to members who have not expressed interest. Repeated unwelcome contact after a member asks you to stop is a violation of this policy.
5. Our own communications
We send transactional messages (referral notifications, meeting reminders, billing notices, security alerts) that are necessary to operate the Service. Marketing emails from us always include an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-outs promptly — no later than ten (10) business days after receipt.
6. Enforcement
Violations may result in warnings, feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent termination of your account without refund, at our discretion. We may also notify affected chapters and, where appropriate, law enforcement or regulators. We investigate every report.
7. Reporting spam
If you receive spam from a user of our platform, or believe your contact information was misused, report it to abuse@myreferral.systems with the message content and sender details. We will investigate and respond.
